Our olive growers traditionally harvest early,which enables us to obtain fruit-driven oils with olives that are picked directly from the tree.

The milling is carried out via cold pressing,and cutting-edge technology is used to ensure that all the oil’s qualities are maintained. An average of 3,000-4,000 tons of top-quality extra virgin olive oil are made each year, in addition to other related products such as virgin olive oil and pomace oil, pomace studge and granules of olive stones,all of which are sold to our customers in bulk.

Viñaoliva own mill holds ISO 8001 approval and makes top-quality oils from the Carrasqueña variety, which is local to Badajoz province. They are sold under the Cortijero Extra Virgin Olive Oil brand, always under 0.4º. Cortijero is available in glass bottles (750 ml, 500 ml and 250 ml), and in PET: 5l, 2l, 1l.

It’s an oil with a gorgeous golden-green hue. On the palate it’s fruity with a hint of spice and bitter almonds, while the nose is packed with fresh fruit. All this has enabled it to wine awards such as “Extrema Selección”,given to the best olive oil of the year by the Junta de Extremadura.

Meanwhile, Cortijero 1º de Viñaoliva is our top-quality, delicatessen extra virgin olive oil made 100% from our Spanish variety, called Arbequina, and only bottled in a 500ml format. It is especially smooth on the palate and highly aromatic. It’s sold in delicatessen shops and specialist food outlets, and comes in an attractive presentation package. Furthermore, it’s available alongside 1º de Cortijero vinegar, a white wine vinegar with Pedro Ximénez, which balances sweetness and acidity.
